Love Lives

This poem reached in and touched my soul!  It was written by a classmate from an online course.  She shared it earlier this week and I asked if I could share it here.  I’m adding it to my collection in a handmade journal.  Enjoy!

“Love Lives”
Love Lives in the mountain tops of foreign lands,
Between tightened threads of ancient cloths, and
Golden drops of interwoven beads of hope.
It gives way to delicate blues set against wild pinks and ombre.
If only the wisdom of text and verse could bring insight,
Into what matters most when in the chaos of life and love.
Finding our way with a quietened mind surrounded by the busyness of life around us.
At that moment we discover the uniqueness and similarities between all of us.
Walking our own path, leaving trails of adventures come and gone.
Love Lives, within all of us.

Our unity with the universe is nothing compared to the oneness of our spirits humans can experiece with a living personal loving God of the universe. Those who deny the existence of a loving pesonal GOD look for a universal spirit that is found in a religion not described in the eternal living Word of God entitled the BIBLE. Loving life is not the same as loving GOD.

Thank you for taking the time to share your loving thoughts! Though I did not write the poem, it very much resonates with me… just as though you did not write the bible, it very much resonates with you. Though there is much of value and wisdom in many texts, traditions, and cultures, I find that the bible (as writings selected by men of a church to govern people) limits God… that loving life is very much the same as loving CREATION, the life force that we all share, which includes God, however you choose to define and experience divine love and the Holy Spirit. There is a parable that really speaks to me about respecting different experiences, cultures, and perspectives as all containing truth. I very much respect your perspective and personal experience. <3 A personal loving God is welcome in our home as are those that have different perspectives.

PS – I would say you could exchange the word ‘love’ with ‘God’ or ‘Christ’ (or others) and it would mean the same thing to me… because I imagine all of those words/ideas/things to be love… though I may not rely on a book to define that love.
