Festival Paint Set Unboxing & Demo Painting Video

I hope you are finding ways to have fun and play amidst all that is going on in the world these days. I have often referred to a blank canvas or watercolor paper as both a temple and a playground! I was recently reminded how simple and fun it can be to paint with wild abandon and no expectations… like a young kid playing with their first art supplies. It felt very much that way while I was opening a new package of brightly colored paints. Here’s a short unboxing and painting demo video for you from that moment.

Do you still play with art supplies? I share much more in-depth videos and projects in the new Painted Ladies online course. I’d love to have you join me if you’d like to explore the wonder and possibilities of your own creativity with me. The limited early bird special spaces have started filling up. Yay! Thanks so much to those who have already chosen to participate.

The finished piece from the video is called “Reminisce.” When I looked up the word to make sure I was spelling it correctly, it was so fitting to read aspects of the definition about indulging in great memories. This one has a lot of that energy in it with references from many different good times and happy places. Do you feel the energy of the art you enjoy or surround yourself with?

Reminisce Painting by Jules Ostara

I took a break from making art when I thought I wasn’t good enough and had to put away childish things. Can anyone relate? Thankfully, that didn’t stick! The creative process has become a best friend, therapist, muse, and cheerleader since bringing art supplies back into my life. I’m so grateful to be able to share the medicine and magic found in the paintings and through the process in easy online courses to help others do the same.

Thank you for receiving the love, beauty and wonder that flows forth in this way. If you enjoy this, you can make sure you don’t miss a post plus get special coupons and presents from ThriveTrue.com/MagicMail.

I hope you can take a moment to reminisce and enjoy your best memories today. Then, make some more!
