Celebrating generosity and beautiful blessings, profits from this print go to the charity, Thistle Farms, in Nashville, TN. Thistle Farms' mission is to HEAL, EMPOWER, AND EMPLOY women survivors of trafficking, prostitution, and addiction. They do this by providing safe and supportive housing, the opportunity for economic independence, and a strong community of advocates and partners.

This was inspired by the dragonfly story I read at my mom’s memorial (shared in long description below). The original painting was a collaboration with my Grammie, who is in her 90’s!

“Ubuntu” Print
This print is from the original mixed media painting “Ubuntu”
I looked up one night while pausing with this painting and wondering what to do next. I saw praying hands in front of me on the shelf… which led to this. 💞 I do so love when a marvelous mess of paint magically turns into something I adore and appreciate deeply… that is what I call the “magic and medicine found in art” (which is an online course I’ll be hosting at some point… the vision has been with me a while and evolving). It’s an interesting mix of happy accidents and trusting the inner muse and messenger and the strength and compassion of a healing heart. 💖 It is a painted prayer for all of us. I feel that along with prayers, we are responsible for our actions. I do my best to live as freely and fully as I can in honor of those who’s lives have seemed to short ~ May we live gracefully, joyfully, wonderfully, beautifully, playfully, gratefully.

If you’d like to offer copies for sale in your own online shop, you can purchase copies with your contributor discount for that. However, that will be entirely up to you to fulfill orders from your shop after you place a discounted contributor order with me. Books will be printed on-demand to reduce multiple shipping times and distance. Please allow at least 3 weeks to receive books from the printer (though it is usually less than 10 days for me, it can vary quite a bit based on quantity, location, postal service, etc). For orders outside of the U.S., books may be printed in other countries. The printer has locations elsewhere so that may help with shipping costs in some cases. The shipping cost here is currently only an estimate. It may be more or less and will be either billed separately for additional shipping costs or refunded if the actual shipping cost is less.
You are welcome to make wholesale arrangements with any local shops that may carry your art. I usually offer resellers bulk discounts at approximately 50% off the retail price (I set it to $17.99 USD for this particular book) + enough to cover all shipping and handling. This means there is a very small profit margin for us after printing expenses which is why bulk orders are required. Still, it can be a great way to get your art out into the community in an affordable way for new and existing fans. If you prefer not to bother with any fulfillment for small margins, you can send local shop or gallery owners to me. They can still carry the books with your work that way.
