Nature Inspired Art, Tree Song, & Creative Adventures over the hills and through the woods

Welcome and thank you for visiting. I hope you are able to breathe deeply and fully. Can you tell my sinuses have been acting up due to the changing seasons? Still, I’ve been enjoying the spectacular show that the trees have been putting on before resting for winter. I made a super short video (below) with the leaves drifting down at a nearby nature trail if you’re not in an area with easy access to such scenes and would like to watch. It features a bit from my favorite song about trees (you can hear the full song further down in this post).

Nature has always been one of the biggest inspirations for my art. The painting process is a way to honor and appreciate the world around us while exploring the wisdom within us. It is a way to practice mindfulness and cultivate gratitude in a physical form, to gather the harvest from time outdoors and bring it inside.

This keeps me coming back to the table while experimenting with various supplies and other less obvious aspects such as attitude and approach. I imagine the energy that is put into creating the art could be what often appeals most to me in art created by others also. Do you sense that?

It may be most noticeable in music such as the song in the video, yet I think it can radiate from paintings in a subtle way as well.

The art in the following image was painted on a misty mountain morning just outside my basement studio. It was made during a video for some sweet Art Adventures. The projects were a natural progression after finishing the unboxing demos for Inktoberfest. I’m thinking of that fun series as a sort of Pre-Party for the expanded Inktastic Adventures. It’s been nice to experiment and simplify supplies in this new course while still focusing on a deep and invigorating process

The next one was created on an Autumn afternoon while enjoying the view of the sun shining through the trees out my studio window. It reminds me a bit of stained glass or batik fabric. And, I can almost feel the welcome warmth of the sun radiating from the painting as the cooler seasons set it. How about you?

You’re invited to co-create and explore with me if this type of energy art interests you as well. There are a few price points to make it accessible. It’s always so heartwarming when those who are able make a choice to reciprocate generously, which helps enable the more affordable options. Thank You! And, for those who decide to join even if you feel it is a splurge to do something like this for yourself, bravo for taking that step! May the love and attention you give to yourself and art have healthy ripple effects.

If you are more interested in lingering with the art rather than making a mess, the ink paintings featured in the images have been scanned at high resolution and added to online print shops, which have many options from Aprons to Zipper pouches. The printers often have sales, especially around the holidays. If you’ve seen a painting in the past that you’d like featured on products that way, please reply to let me know which ones. I can make most of them available that way. It just takes time to upload everything.

If the paintings or the adventures make something in you flutter a bit, I hope you’re able to take action on that to bring the art off the screen or enjoy the experience of making your own. If not, I hope something else makes your heart sing.

The song in the video is one of my favorites, especially about trees. It’s called “Whispers” by Ayla Nereo. It is also featured on the Mantra Music Playlist that is one of many presents and resources for email acquaintances. You can get access to the private page for all of those treats (with a few art tricks!) and be eligible for seasonal give-aways from ThriveTrue.com/MagicMail.

I hope you are having a beautiful, blessed and bountiful season wherever you are.

Wonderful Well Wishes to You!

Love,

Jules
