Hello Lovely! Thank you for joining us during the Loving, Healing, Creating Summit and choosing to receive the extra encore videos and ideas. There is a book list with a few fun options at the bottom of the page. The following video is the second Nature Art composition that I made focusing on the sense of touch. It also inspired a fun mixed media painting.

Though I wasn’t giving extra attention to the sense of touch before, I’ve been making similar nature art for years. I love how easy it is to do with treasures gathered from our surroundings whether we are hiking, traveling, or at home, sweet home. Adding the intention to focus on a particular sense made it even more enriching. I encourage you to try it more than once. It could be a great way to acknowledge the changing of seasons, moons, or any life event. Here is another example that I did to celebrate completing my first book.

Additional Invitations (Prompts) to Consider:

  • Make a Touch and Feel Book (Art Journal)
  • Use Modeling Paste or another medium to make textural art
  • Focus on a different sense while creating art (for example, you could use all edible plants to make nature art or focus on the scents or sounds of materials used)
  • Make a set of Touch Stones with painted rocks (you could add encouraging words or symbols)
  • Try using other items while touching your body (such as soft gloves, leather gloves, socks on your hands, silky fabric, massage oil or tools)

If you’d like to go on another journey with me, there are several options for various moods, interests, supplies, and budgets. You can learn more about them at ThriveTrue.com/product-category/online-courses. The most recent grew into a very full offering to play and experiment with various inks while noticing, nurturing, and choosing the energy that flows through your art. Attention is given to attitude, approach, and environment in addition to techniques. The projects are all infused with reverence, wonder, and good vibes.

If you somehow stumbled upon this page and haven’t joined us for the Loving, Healing, Creating Summit yet, you can do so from Creative U (that is my affiliate link so that I can be compensated for sharing it with you). Bravo for giving yourself the gift of creativity, healing, and love!

You might also enjoy the session I prepared for the previous Loving, Healing, Creating Summit about Serenading the Self. It is now available as a stand alone session if you missed it.

Recommended Reading List

Here are a few beautiful books that you may enjoy to further experiment with nature art or appreciate the value of touch. I’ve been fortunate to find most of these available through my local library system. These are affiliate links to make it easier for you to find them.

I’m also adding the two books that I’ve been fortunate to write. The first book below is intended to be used over one full moon cycle with a morning ritual practice. Turning routines into rituals is one way to stay in touch with ourselves and lives (rather than zoning out… though that can sometimes be useful, too). The second book features art from 18 other artists along with my own. It is intended to be an interactive experience and readers are invited to add your own personal touch to the pages. You should have access to previews for both books in the presents for email subscribers.

You can see more book lists and a virtual book shelf with several favorites if you are a fellow book lover.

I’d love to hear from you in a reply to one of my emails if you’d like to introduce yourself or have other favorite books related to the topic that you’d like to share.

Wonderful Well Wishes to You,

Jules
