When choosing to use the word resource for this page, I looked up the definitions. I notice how our language can influence us in big ways. I decided that I liked these aspects of the definitions from Merriam-Webster and that the word was a decent fit:
- a source of supply or support
- a natural feature or phenomenon that enhances the quality of life
- a means of spending one’s leisure time
- an ability to meet and handle a situation
I’ve learned a lot in the process of painting, creating art card decks, writing, and publishing my book and blog… especially about how to get past the procrastination or self doubt and inner critic!
I’ve also learned how valuable it is to work with mentors and wayfinders who speak a similar language and share similar values. I’m so very grateful for the many artists, writers, poets, singers, coaches, and healers who have crossed my path and had a healthy influence in my life… whether through online classes, books, podcasts, in person retreats, or a friendly conversation.
