Nourishing Gatherings of Gratitude and Gifts of Creativity

Years ago, I imagined and painted a gathering of creative women who cheer one another on and appreciate each other’s presence. I painted over collaged images with women of all different colors, shapes, and ages doing various things like singing, dancing, mothering, gardening, cooking, painting or relaxing. I am so grateful to be feeling that kind of community around me now, even across oceans, lockdowns, and languages!

I also love the multiple meaning of the word gathering as in being together and also collecting or harvesting as gatherers have done for eons.

What are you gathering? I hope you find beauty, joy, and nourishment!

The first collaborative course I ever participated in years ago was about gratitude. That continues to be a thread through my art and offerings. The current Art as an Altar course is a wonderful way to explore creativity and use a canvas as a place for appreciation and celebration. It is available to enjoy anytime. If you’d like to gift an online course to someone else, please let me know so we can put together a personalized certificate for them. With so many online courses out there these days, this feedback from a recent participant touches my heart and reminds me why I put so much love and energy into creating offerings like this.

I’m also very grateful to have been invited to present in an Oracle Card Creation Summit with many other magical makers. The hostess, Larissa from Creative U, is having a gratitude sale during November! So, it’s available at a deep discount if you’d like to learn more about how to use or make inspirational cards. There are a few other offerings on sale from Creative U that sound fabulous as well.

If you prefer to enjoy Inspiration Cards that someone else has made without getting into the art supplies yourself or would like to purchase some for gifts, all of my decks are on sale through November 30th. You can also get a special coupon code for an additional discount via email.

The new Born to Bloom Bright book can also be used similarly to an oracle deck or a collaborative art journal in addition to being a beautiful collection of art and poetry. I hope it will lighten spirits and warm hearts. Bulk discounts are available to anyone if you think they’d make a great gift, too.

These kind words, from a fellow presenter for the Oracle Card Summit, grace the back cover of the book:

It grew into something so much bigger than me! Filled with colorful mixed media art, the book features a bouquet of artists from all over this wonderful world sharing common ground. Playful poetic verses were crafted using words foraged from garden and seed catalogs then paired with paintings to create a space for exploration, reflection and reclamation.

Readers of the book are invited to add notes, doodle or collage in areas around the text, and make it a rich, interactive experience tapping in to your divine creativity. Whether you choose to get a copy or not, I encourage you to add your own voice to the song of life. You might enjoy a recent interview and video that I did for Authority Magazine about writing powerful and evocative poetry. The written interview has more questions and info. Here is a short video reply for one of the questions.

I’ve also had the pleasure of speaking with a few amazingly generous and genuine women recently for upcoming podcast episodes. I’ll share links to my conversations via email as soon as they are published. Until then, you might enjoy some of the other lovely guests and encouragement. The Creative Genius podcast, hosted by Kate Shepherd, is my new walking companion. The Studio Insider podcast is a long time favorite hosted by Susan Nethercote, who is one of the contributing artists in the new Born to Bloom Bright book!

Susan’s art is featured on the cornucopia page along with the following excerpt, which feels particularly relevant with Thanksgiving approaching in the United States. I focus on the aspect of being thankful for the love, community, nourishment, and natural beauty around me.

I am a cornucopia
a basket of blessings
a gathering of thanks

You’re invited to a free video story time reading of the book and gathering with a few of the contributing artists from India and Italy. Maybe make a cup of tea and get comfy as you join us. If you’ve already watched it, we’d be super grateful if you would leave an honest review about it. Thank You!

The Born to Bloom Bright book is a gathering of gratitude and a celebration of life! I hope your holiday season may feel and be that way as well.

Wishing you bountiful blessings!

Love,
Jules
