At Home in the Mist

Coincidence?  Mysterious?  Last night, I started reading the book, ‘The Mist-Filled Path’

and today, I find myself wrapped deep in the mist… quite literally!  I’ve attempted to ‘capture’ a bit of the mist with my beloved camera today… such a shifting spectacle… as is life, yes?  May we all find beauty in the mist. <3

I love watching the birds brave the elements to get to the feeder and shelter in the thorny rose bushes.

The raindrops landing on the small zen pond are magical.

The ripples reach into my soul.

The water “shimmering on the branches” has me singing that line from one of my husband’s songs, Alchemy… “and my world begins to grow.” 🙂

This song (which sounds quite different from all his others due to an effect that was used for this song only to give it a bit more edge) can be listened to on the bandcamp site (song number 4 on the album) and you can scroll over the song title then click the lyrics link to read the full lyrics if you like.

It took a bit of patience to catch that raindrop on the sacred stones just before it fell!

May we all embrace our own alchemy realizing  “even gray can turn to gold.” <3

PS – Misty rainy days are great days for painting!  This druid emerged in a layer today. Wonder if she’ll stick around by the time it’s finished. 😉  Trusting the voice within (and my hand to bring the whispers onto the canvas) is another way to be at home in the mist/mystery.
